Your Rotary Club Can Help Job Seekers in Your Area Start Their Future Careers!

For many job seekers, the cost of business attire is an obstacle to their seeking gainful employment. Donations of business attire help job seekers in your area dress appropriately to interviews and positions in corporate careers. We’re excited to announce the Career Closet Collection, a new joint project between Rotary District 5280 and Goodwill Southern California that aims to eliminate this hurdle for job seekers in our communities.

How Your Club Can Help

Set a date for club members to bring their new or gently used business attire to a club meeting or nearby location. Examples of business attire needed are below.

Men’s Attire

Formal suits
Business shirts
Sports jackets
Slacks
Leather dress shoes

Women’s Attire

Formal suits
Formal business blouses
Dressy jackets & sweaters
Dress pants & skirts

After collecting your club’s donation, we’re asking that your club:

Take a picture of club members next to donated items
Count the number of items donated
Contact James Cheydleur (jcheydleur@goodwillsocal.org) to set up a day and time at a local Goodwill to drop off your donation
Consider challenging a local Rotary club to collect more than you.

Packaging Your Donation

Clothing should be laundered and cleaned before donations (all items will go on the rack as is)
Please include hangers if possible
All items should be folded neatly in a box
